If you’re looking for honeymoon inspiration then look no further than Cheval Blanc Randheli, the brand new hotel in the Maldives. This is the very definition of honeymooning in style. With all manner of lavish features at the core of Randheli’s experience you will not be disappointed.
There are over 40 villas on the island and each one has its own infinity pool, dining area, pool bed and terrace. There is almost no reason to ever leave your villa. If however, this grips you with fears of cabin fever then do not worry as there are also watersports, PADI-certified diving instructors with night diving on offer, Yoga classes, as well as the Guerlian spa which features tailored treatments exclusive to the site. For me the most crucial part of any holiday is the dining options and with five restaurants and three bars to choose from, I doubt you’ll be left wanting for anything; the added luxury is that guests can dine wherever they wish, at any time.
Trust me, once you have gazed upon these images you, like me, will be re-arranging your holiday calender, perusing skyscanner.net for the best flights and promptly telling your other half that you’ve found your next destination. See you in the Maldives….
Mexico is made for honeymoons. It brings together culture, history, beauty, luxury and of course those all important, spotless white sand beaches and gorgeous clear water. And, you can always pretend that you have eloped together over the border from the U.S like they do in films, which I am sure will add to the romance.
There are so many fantastic places to go and in every one of them is a classy hotel, set up for a romantic honeymoon. It is also perfect as only part of your honeymoon, with Central America, the Caribbean and the U.S all within easy striking distance. However, be careful if you decide to do this, I know from experience that Mexico is a very difficult place to leave.
Brazil is the perfect destination for tropical scenery, unspoilt beaches and cocktails; the caipirinha is their most cherished drink and will never taste better than when sipped on the beach surveying the tranquility of Brazil. With awesome places like Rio de Janeiro and the Amazon jungles to explore, Brazil really does offer a bit of everything.
I’ve concentrated on finding some of the best luxuriously tranquil spots in Brazil and here are some of my favourites:
Morocco is a stunning country which offers spice and bustle in the busy haggling souks of Marrakesh, and tranquillity and peace in the Atlas mountains or even by escaping to the desert. If you fancy a trek as part of your honeymoon then the Atlas mountains are the perfect place for an adventure in beautifully untouched scenery. However, for those wanting to kick back and relax then spas and luxury are two words that Marrakesh is becoming extremely good at getting right. A little bit of everything….
South Africa is a country bursting full of culture, history, adventure, romance and breathtaking scenery. For a luxury safari, it is near impossible to beat. For a beach and pool get away, there are simply thousands of quirky places to choose from. Or if it fine wines in breathtaking countryside that you are after, look no further.
There are all sorts of things that you can enjoy doing and so many affordable places where you can enjoy doing nothing. Obviously, except for gazing lovingly into one another’s eyes with another glass of South African Cabernet Sauvignon.
